Don't hop on pop but hop on top of the Dr. Seuss Blog Hop, where a bunch of talented people came up with their own interpretations of the wonderful imagination of Dr. Seuss. The skies the limit when you have an imagination like Dr. Seuss and talent like those in this hop. Our hop today is hostessed by Jearise in Lorby's World- http://lorbysworld.blogspot.com and that is were to begin if you've happened here by chance otherwise continue on my friend.

 This is a graduation card that I've made for my son. I plan on adding brads to the right hand lower corner but my room is going through changes so they are no where to be found! I think "Thing 1" and "Thing 2" may be busy fooling around with them! Oh my!

I am also going to buy him the book when he graduates in May and stick money between the pages, that will show if he actually even opens it. hehehe. 

I even have a graduation cap that goes with this theme that I received at my college graduation party!

For my project, I'm featuring the Pirate Party Image and Art Philosophy Cartridge.......

Supplies Needed:

K Andrew Art Set, even a set with sentiments would work

Art Philosophy, again any cartridge with tags would work

2-3 sheets of 12x12 paper

Ink

I made a game of Go Fish or you could even take out some of the cards and play Memory

I found a tag I liked and set it to cut at 3".

I set it to cut fit to page and it cut 18 tags to one page.

You will need a total of 40 tags to make enough Go Fish cards.

I was able to turn the paper to get extra tags so I didn't have to use 3 pages.

Make sure all your paper is the same color so the game will be able to be played correctly!

There is the paper turned.

There is the stack of 40 tags! :)

You then stamp four tags with one image. You do this with ten sets.

Here they are turned around so you can't tell which is which!

We're Off to See the Wizard the wonderful Wizard of Oz to hopefully get the Tin Man a heart, the Lion courage, and the Scarecrow a brain! But there's the poppy fields to beware of as you could get very sleepy! The Wicked Witch but we know she's afraid of water. The flying monkeys . . . just totally freaky looking!!!! You're probably still dizzy from the spinning whirling twirling house and watching all those things passing by like a nightmare expecially that Miss Gulch on her bicycle! Poor Toto hiding in the basket, but can you blame him? Don't pay any attention to the man behind the curtain as he knows not what he speaks! And then there are the delightful munchkins that sing 3 octives highly than humanly possible. I almost forgot the good witch Glinda - how could I forget her --- she was just too sugary sweet to my standards but as a Good Witch goes, she was the best, but why didn't she just tell Dorothy she had the power to return all along and wait until the end - geesh!And then only bad witches are ugly --- come on now! Its the Merry Old Land of Oz! I have a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore Toto. . . .

Recipe:

Triple Layer Chocolate Pie

Prep: 15 minutes plus refrigerating

Makes 8 Servings

2 cups cold milk

2 pkg. (4-serving size each) JELL-O Chocolate Flavor Instant Pudding & Pie Filling

1 Oreo Pie Crust (6 oz.)

1 tub (8 oz.) thawed COOL WHIP Topping, divided

Pour milk into large bowl. Add dry pudding mixes. Beat with wire whisk for 2 minutes until blended.

Spoon 1-1/2 cups of pudding onto bottom of crust. Gently stir 1/2 of the whipped topping into remaining pudding.

Spread oer pudding in crust; top with remaining whipped topping. Refrigerate 3 hours or until set.

Store leftover pie in refrigerator.

Simply Sunday/Getting Cricky "Ur So Sweet" Week

Okay so I've been so busy this week that I failed to pay attention, and get this, I'm a teacher! Yikes!

The Simply Sunday challenge is to use embossing with the theme "Let it Snow"

I did glitter embossing in a Valentine theme hoping to incorporate two things in one. Sorry ladies.

But all week I will be showing projects using only one stamp set: Fall-O-Ween!

It will show you many ways you can use this set alone and turn things into sweet saying and/or things that are Valentines's like! I hope you enjoy!

Here is the card I made!

I used stamps only from one set and they don't show up as well because the ink is very light but it looks great on the card in person.

It says, " a little sweet TREAT for you".

Welcome to this blog hop!

I am the host and NOT a good one at all!

I've had my project done for months.

I did it digitally using the My Memory Suite Program which is an excellent program!

Well the computer it's on is missing the usb and it's all wireless and touch screen and I've been trying since last night to get it to download and such.

I should've just put it in a post to pre-schedule way back when I did it and now I've learned. :)

I will let you know though what my "thing" was that happened during the history of my lifetime.

It was the invention of the DVD!

They were invented in 1995.

I remember when I met my husband a few years after this in 1998 while they were still "new" that I said I would never fall into wanting DVDs and such.

I was sure it was just a phase and before long everyone would be over them.

Little did I know VHS is now the one becoming almost obsolete and I did obviously begin to purchase DVDs and to this day still laugh about the comments him and I made on the phone over them.

Now if our children only knew, mostly my youngest, what life was like using VHS and not having the ease of the search menu on a DVD.

What will they think of next?

I first made a card of how I wish my cat and I had a relationship.. Hahaha.

He only wants me in the weird hours of the morning and that's to wake me up, otherwise he is only loving to my husband and my youngest son.

His name is Kitty. When we adopted him he had a different name, Snoopy, but that just didn't go with a cat if you ask me and no one could come up with anything so he just stayed Kitty.

I am so excited to hop through and hope you are as well to see what everyone has made.

Mine is a little different than everyone else.

I made something that I could list all of my books that I read this year inside of and keep a little log.

I did mine this way because I love to read so much and so many types of books that I honestly couldn't pick just one book to do a project on!

I love fiction, non fiction, true crime. You name it I'll try to read it. I even read A LOT of teen books since I teach mainly Middle School Kids!

There's Snow Business like Snow Business Blog Hop

There's Snow Business like Snow Business with all the friendly snowman putting on a show for you today. All I need is a cane and a top hat to start singing now or be Frosty the Snowman and shout "Happy Birthday"! It may be Frosty and Cold outside, but its warm inside as long as you stay bundled up sledding through our hop!

We have a wonderful line-up for you to either grab your tobagon, sled, sleigh or ski's to check out the craftiness -- grab that hot cocoa and don't forget the marshmallows AND whipped cream, soft blankie, stay warm and snuggly and check out how we build a snowman before he melts!
